Coalfire Systems is one of 20 national Qualified Security Assessor and Scanning Vendors for Visa and MasterCard and provides audit, planning and remediation assistance to payment card industry members, merchants and service providers. With the publication of OMB Circular A-123 -- "Improving the Management of Government Charge Card Program" (August 2005), the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), General Services Administration (GSA), Department of Treasury (Treasury), and other Federal Agencies have initiated steps to mitigate risks associated with the broad use of credit cards. Coalfire Government Systems has focused on two of the five goals listed for this guidance.

  • Ensure that the most effective controls are in place to mitigate the risk of fraud, misuse, and delinquency
  • Use government charge card data to monitor policy compliance and inform management decision-making to drive a more cost effective card program

Coalfire Government Systems works as an independent evaluator and auditor to provide definitive measurement of your internal controls and performance metrics, and to recommend remediation requirements.
